Book Loan and Collection Use Policies for Fuqua Alumni
Alumni who reside in the Raleigh, Durham, or Chapel Hill area may borrow up to 10 books in a 28 day loan period for up to 6 months after graduation. After 6 months, alumni can arrange to buy an All Campus Borrower's Card for $100/year. However, if they have made a donation to Fuqua, or a class gift for $100 or more they are eligible for a free All Campus Borrowers Card (good up to one year after graduation). Alumni can apply for the All Campus Borrower's Card if they meet the following conditions and take the steps below shown below:

Library Use At-a-Glance
All applications will be reviewed by the Collection Services Librarian during regular business hours. Your application must be approved and a card issued before books may be checked out. Alumni borrowers may place a hold request on up to 2 books per month, with the understanding that requests for items by currently enrolled Duke students, faculty, or staff take precedence. Alumni borrowers may not recall books checked out to currently enrolled Duke students, faculty, or staff. Alumni may place recall requests on books checked out to borrowers not affiliated with Duke University. For other circulation policies regarding fines, notices, etc. please review the Detailed Circulation Policies. Using Library Resources In-House Alumni may use all library resources in-house except password-driven databases and course closed reserve materials. The Library is legally obligated to restrict use of our password-driven databases to currently enrolled students faculty or staff. Alumni are welcome to use non-password databases on our Web Research Databases page and those resources available in The Fuqua Alumni E-Library. Reference Librarians are happy to assist you. Journals, videocassettes, and audiocassettes may be used in-house; but are not available for check-out. Building Access For the personal security of our students and staff, access to the East Wing of the Keller Center for MBA Education (which houses the Library) is by keycard only after 5:30pm weekdays and all day on Saturday and Sunday. If you are unable to visit the Library during business hours (Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:30pm), please contact the Collection Services Librarian to arrange for building access.
