Interlibrary Loan means requesting an item from a library outside of Duke, when the book or journal you need isn't owned by a Duke Library.
- Search the library catalog first to find out if the book, or the journal containing your article is owned by Duke.
- If the book is owned by a Duke Library, use the "Request A Book" link from the menu at the left; OR the "Request This Item" link in the Duke Library catalog.
- If the book or journal you need is not owned by a Duke Library, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org containing as complete a citation as possible. A complete citation should include:
Book / Article Author
Book / Article Title
Journal Title (if requesting an article)
Journal Volume & Issue Number
(if requesting an article)
Journal Article / Book Chapter Page Numbers Needed
Book / Article Publication Year or Date
Book ISBN / Journal ISSN (if known)
