SDC Platinum is locally installed client-server software and is available only on Library Database Room Workstations LIBDB08 & LIBDB09. SDC Platinum is licensed for use by currently enrolled Duke University students, faculty, and staff, only.

Ford Library's subscription to SDC Platinum includes the following modules:

  • Global New Issues

    Markets Covered: US, International, Asian-Pacific Domestic, Australian-New Zealand Domestic, Continental Europe Domestic, Indian Domestic, Japanese Domestic, Latin American Domestic, UK Domestic, "Rest of the World"

    Other Products: Medium Term Note Program

    word doc iconRead Before Using Global New Issues - the Global New issues module requires each user to make a small change in SDC Platinum's settings in order to successfully conduct a search.
  • VentureXpert

    VentureXpert covers venture capital firms, VC deals, executives, and mergers & acquisitions. Includes all available industry resources and statistics except NVCA Free Reports.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions

    Includes: US Targets, Non-US Targets, Joint Ventures/Alliances
  • Corporate Governance

    Includes: Proxy Fights
  • Global Public Finance

    Includes: Project Finance

Click the Desktop shortcut on the workstation to connect, and request a password card at the circulation desk. From 9am-6pm weekdays only 1 user at a time may connect to SDC Platinum. After 6pm and on weekends, multi-user access is permitted.

Only students, faculty, and staff of Duke University and the Fuqua School of Business may access SDC Platinum and 1st time users are encouraged to consult a reference librarian for a tutorial.
