1. On your Desktop, right-click on My Network Places and select Open.
2. Under Network Tasks at the left, click View Network Connections.
3. This is the Network Connections screen. Under Network Tasks at the left, click Create a New Connection to start the New Connection Wizard.
4. Click Next on the 1st screen of the wizard.
5. Choose the middle option, "Connect to the network at my workplace" and click Next.
6. Choose the last option, "Virtual Private Network connection" and click Next.
7. In the Company Name box, enter "Fuqua VPN" and click Next.
8. In the VPN Server Selection box, enter vpn.fuqua.duke.edu and click Next.
9. Choose whichever Connection Availability option you prefer and click Next.
10. Mark the checkbox on the last screen of the wizard to create a Desktop shortcut for the Fuqua VPN, and click Finish.
11. After finishing the wizard, you'll be prompted to log on to the Fuqua VPN. Enter your Fuqua Network ID and password when prompted.
12. When you're finished with your research, you can right-click on the VPN icon in the System Tray at the lower right of your screen and select Disconnect to close your VPN connection.
